Alton’s Public Gardens were buzzing on Saturday for the Alton Lions 11th annual Party in the Park, to raise funds of the disabled young people of Treloar School and College and to enable other local charitable organisations to raise funds and profile for their own worthwhile causes

Held to raise funds for the Alton REHAB facility with Lion President Peter Bacon. This year’s event will achieve a £1600 award to REHAB for exercise equipment.

The Alton Lions ‘Party in the Park’ drew thousands of visitors to the Public Gardens on Saturday (June 8) to enjoy the entertainment, including live music in the new bandstand, and to celebrate the 370th anniversary of the Battle of Alton.
The Alton Lions ‘Hi-de-Hi’ themed Summer Event in Alton’s town centre Public Gardens captured the family fun atmosphere of the classic holiday camp heydays of the 50’s & 60’s. Held on 9th June, this is the fifth year that Alton Lions have teamed with Treloars to raise funds for the children at the renowned Physically Disabled School and College.
Alton Lions welcomed nearly a hundred senior citizen guests to the annual tea party in the Alton Maltings and especially those who came from local residential homes.
Alton Lions ‘Swinging Sixties’ event took the Public Gardens by storm to raise £2,000 for the children of Treloar School and College.
