Alton Lions Club (CIO) organises a Craft Market (www.altoncraftmarket.co.uk) in Alton in conjunction with local craft workers with the pitch fees being donated to local charities.
The Alton Craft Market is held on the same Saturday as the Alton Farmers Market and uses part of the High Street and Cross & Pillory Lane and makes for a very busy day in town. The market is held on the second Saturday of each month from March to December 10am to 2:30pm.
The market venue starts from the junction of the top end of the High Street and extends into Cross and Pillory Lane.
Alton is a traditional Hampshire Market town with markets established before Saxon times and after the Conquest, its regular market held in “Westbrook” is the most valuable market recorded in The Doomsday Book.
The Alton Craft Market is now a well-established ‘makers market’ and has an excellent reputation for a wide range of unique high-quality products made by artists and skilled craftsmen and women.
If you are a artisan crafter and interested in selling at the Alton Craft Market you can download a booking form (including terms and conditions), or contact direct by email – firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Please note: As a consequence of the Covid-19 restrictions the Alton Craft Markets for 2021 maybe subject change based on the latest Government legislation, regulations and guidance. Importantly whilst it is planned to hold markets there can be no guarantee that each market will go ahead.
