Re-engage

In conjunction with national charity Re-engage, Alton Lions organises local tea parties; free monthly social groups open to people aged 75 and over who are lonely, isolated or in need of companionship. They’re a chance for a change of scenery and regular afternoons of conversation and laughter with friends of all ages.
 
Once a month, on a Sunday, volunteer drivers collect older guests from their homes and take them to the tea party where they share tea, cake, and companionship, and enjoy a change of scenery for an afternoon. At the end of the tea party the volunteer drivers take the older guests safely back home.
